Something was lost

Media: Pen & Ink with an old Esterbrook on Moleskine Cahier

N.F.S. but you can buy a print.

Other: Something was lost. Me. Over the past three years a lot has gone down in this neck of the universe. A lot of good things. Some bad. Some that I'm still sorting out. One of the things that remains is that I still love to draw.

So, (a friend and I were asking each other) why we (as in the royal 'we') so often fail to do those things which bring us life and joy? Why do we put them off, set them aside for more 'important' things? Why do we squander the gifts given to us? Yes, yes, one must make a living and some people are fortunate enough or determined enough or both to make what they are absolutely passionate about the way that they earn there living. I'd like that.

In the mean time I have determined to keep drawing, no matter what and I hope my friend picks up his guitar again soon and does some noodling.

Hi lillian. So good to hear from you again and thanks for the kind words. Yes, to draw again!

Love this piece, O.

Hey O
good to hear from you and see your work again. I'm glad you're back as you're part of my inspiration. To draw regularly--i too have to remind myself of such things!

As so oft you do, you once again express my 'heart thoughts'.....why indeed do we squander our gifts?

I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that some day your immense talent will be recognised by those who are in a position to enable you to earn your living doing what you love. That has certainly been my prayer for you for a very long time.

:-)

love this. love.

So, my thanks so each of you who've added a kindly comment since I last looked.
